Radio faceplate

I have a 82 Monte I was wonder would this face plate snap around the trim of the radio

Yes, that style radio plate will work. You will need an adapter package though as the 86-88 radios are din and a half and your radio is a single din.

That bezel will go around/over the dash (compared to inside like your existing bezel), it will meet the rim around the radio area of the dash and it will hide that crack a bit..
(I have the matching dash plate if you want to change that to match the bezel)
