Radio help!!

All I hear is static doesn’t show stations no sounds anyone know what it could be ??? 87 regal

Did you check your clock fuse

Fuse box is on the drivers side under the dash left side. There will be 2 fuses you are concerned with but it sounds like the radio one is ok if you get static.

Yellow wire to the radio is powered by the RADIO fuse. switched 12V.

Orange wire is the un switched +12V that powers the clock, stereo memory and some other things. Same circuit that is used for the courtesy lights, dome light etc. Things that work without the key. CTSY-CLK Fuse.
