Radio issues

I got a 86 Monte with all original parts. I tried to put a tape in the deck and know its stuck on fast forward. Any suggestions. Before this I could listen to the radio but I tried adding those Bluetooth aux cassette adapters.

I had that problem once. I took the radio out, took it apart, removed the tape and then threw the radio in the garbage.....

I've replaced the tape drive in the '90 Firebird radio I put into my '81 Monte when I changed to the newer style radio. It's a simple plug & play but you gotta take everything apart to get to it.
