last month I did everything in my interior...I changed the color, as well. I did it with bed liner and it came out really nice (almost have it all reinstalled)...it's an option to consider. I did it because I had SO much chalking in this car and wanted to 'lock down' the surface. I've used SEM and, no doubt, it's good product, but this is an option.

I used Duplicolor to change to Black from Sand Beige on my interior.
The only items that are not original parts are the upper door panels and carpet which I bought new in black:

I did my entire interior with SEM, my dash was dark gray and the center console was blue and are now Landau Black and the rest of my panels were light gray and are now Camel.
As stated prep is key for long lasting results and use an adhesive promoter , I like to finish mine with a couple of coats of Low Luster Clear for protection but does not leave an "Armorall" shine.

I use to say SEM makes the best but thier colors are slightly off in the rattle can.

If you want a dead on perfect match in burgundy grey or blue get the paint Kirban sells

It sprays real nice and matches perfect.

That looks really nice, Roger. Did you remove the dash to get results like that? I have never used Duplicolor ( Always SEM ). Is the prep procedure the same. Tell us how you got such good results.

Thanks.
See this and follow though to at least post #71.

I did not use adhesion promoter at all. I just clean and degrease everything really well. On the plastic parts, blasting very lightly cleans and etches really well without altering the texture. I hold the blasting nozzle back from the parts at least a foot.

You painted the fabric seats with the duplicolor???
No. I had the seats reupholstered by an interior shop. He did it from scratch too. No kit.

I had just gotten the seat back from the shop and put back in the car the day I took that photo. Headrests aren't on in that pic because he hadn't finished them yet. I had to wait a few more days for those. He also recovered the headliner and visors for me. As you can see, he does fabulous work.

I just wash with Dawn soap. Grey Scotchbrite and several light coats of SEM color of choice.
Wait a couple days, grey Scotchbrite again . Then a few more light coats.
Never had any lifting.
