You could probably use Google or talk to a local body shop and see if they have any recommendations.

Usually winds up costing around $200 per rim, you get what you pay for... sometimes its worth saving a few more clams for nice ones but you can always steel wool and buff them.
One area of caution is that some shops will not weld a full bead when reassembling your rims and they will also give an incorrect backspacing too.
The aftermarkets have incorrect backspacing, you could always go that route too...

The problem with these wheels is that the factory chromes the outer rim and the center disk separately, then they are welded together. Doing it right requires separating the welds, chroming the parts, and re-welding. This is not cheap.

I have read several posts about people getting them redone them .

The last post guy said was really happy with how they looked. But when I asked him about the rim's recess (where they always rust ) his didn't have it . He was rather upset and said he would have bought after market if he would have known . They use new outer to save time. & $$

Have to watch

I saw a after market set that did have right back space but not recess. For price I may go that way and get wider rims 8" anyhow.

I check several places on east coast $200+ rim to restore.

My buddy has a powdercoating gun and we've done multiple sets of wheels for guys. I'm gonna buy some chrome powder pretty soon here. although it might not shine as much as "real" chrome, i figured its worth a shot.

just kinda throwing powdercoating out as another option.

OK, soaking the rims in oxalic acid might work if the chrome is not too badly pitted. This stuff removes the rust without affecting the chrome. I've never tried this myself, but there is a very long thread on at vintagebmx.com that has details, pros and cons, and success and failure stories.

The cost is practically nothing. You would just need a large enough container or barrel to submerge the wheel, or at least the chrome side.
