The height won't matter much if you're using stock rubber biscuits. If you go poly, aluminum, or hockey pucks, it will be more of an issue.
Yeah that’s what I was afraid of. I plan on going poly. My thought was potentially shaving off a quarter inch from the bushings that receive new metal to make up the difference but I need to do more research to find out if that would compromise the structural integrity of the bushing

Thanks. This is what I’ve been thinking of doing. When you welded in this plate, did you address the height difference on all the other holes by adding a similar thickness washer or welded the same plate on all holes?

the frame is 14 gauge plate steel, the height of a 14 gauge patch in one location will have no affect on the body being bolted to the frame.

When I cut the old metal out I made a template to cut the replacement metal. I used 14ga steel and fit the pieces to match height as best as I could.

when you had the original bushing in place it was sitting low being partly in the frame and you never noticed a problem with the body sitting on the frame. I would not worry about the patch, the frames are not that solid to begin with and a small variation in height won't affect anything.

I welded a frame repair washer on topof the frame at passenger side #2 mount with no ill effects on body alignment. The body and frame on these cars have a lot of complience.

These frames are like spaghetti - a height inaccuracy of less than .100" is not going to be a deal breaker of any sort. Just squeeze it on there and it'll be fine - an extra couple of ugga duggas and forget about it.

if you have the body off the frame you might want to consider adding some meat to the spaghetti frame by boxing the C channel....
