i am running a rear brake line on my 86 Monte Carlo SS. I am using 1/4 line and some 5/16 I beleive fittings. Seems like it will work connecting to the rear splitter but the proportioning valve is larger. Anyone know what size the nut is?

On my 82 bonneville , a 9/16” wrench is the hex size but I’m not sure of the diameter and thread count on the fitting..timo22

do you not have the fitting that you removed from the valve?
No I do not car been apart for 4 years. Line was rusted bad when removed. In an older thread they are calling for an adapter but it never says which one.

the thread that goes into the proportional valve is 9/16-18 so you can find an adapter with that male thread and female thread for the fitting on a 1/4" line. Make sure the adapter is a double flare

Ok got were it connects to the prop valve squared away. Now for the rear line it is not what I thought. Anyone have any idea how to connect a 7/16-24 to rear Monte Carlo line.

Well seems previous owner put a 90 on it with a weird end. Got a new hose from Oreilly and got her done.

That looks like a compression fitting on the line connected to the flex hose. A good connection for transmission lines but really not a good idea for a brake line. Double flares are highly recommended...timo22
