i dont have pix of my install cuz i'm in Afghanistan right now, but i took some 2" particle board, the same kind they make speaker boxes from, and cut it to fit in the rear deck. i used a jigsaw to cut the molds for 4 ea 6X9's and wired them into my deck/amp.

If this is something along the lines of what you are looking for, swing thru his site and have a lil look. He does alot of other custom work as well. These are just a few pieces I have ordered from him...

I'm gonna be installing a set of 6x9s in the next couple of weeks. What I have had done so far is this.

Got a new set of 6x9s. There wasn't enough room to mount them from underneath. And the factory hole size (in the metal) is to small for the speaker to sit on top. So I got some 1/2' mdf and had it cut so it was a bit bigger than the 6x9, and had a hole cut in the middle. Then I plan to paint the wood, and secure it to the rear dash, and the screw the speakers to that. That way I don't have to hack up the rear dash.

I will post pics soon.

I left the rear deck open with no speakers and the sub really likes that set up. I have 6" component speakers installed in the pod over the armrest in the back seat with the tweeters up on the deck.

You may be able to install those 6x9s under 4x10 those factory holes.

If your new 6x9 magnets are not too huge, they would fit in the stock 4x10 speaker brackets, with a little bending. I've done it a few times and had 6x9s installed. ;)

The problem with that (at least with my 6x9s) is that the rubber surround sticks out to to far. So far that the cone can't even move when they are up against the dash. That was my original plan.
