The 2000 Blazer S10 MC, Duralast p/n NM3068, is a direct bolt in swap that is for a factory 4 wheel disc application.ford 8.8 rear came on car when i bought it. found out they are 1994-2004 mustang cobra front calipers. all new parts lines , hoses only never changed proportion valve or master cylinder, still has gm master cylinder .

If you add disc brakes where there used to be drums you need more than just a proportioning valve. Cylinder displacement has changed which will require a proportioning valve unless a master that proportioned properly is used. If not using a stock set up from another vehicle there is no way to tell if the brakes are proportioned correctly so I agree with you there. however, residual vales will also be needed because drum brakes release under spring pressure after the pedal is released. This characteristic requires the rear to be pumped up making them feel like they aren't working. A proportioning valve won't fix this.Needs the proper proportioning block, not different brakes....smh
