Has anyone ever mounted a rearward drive shaft loop? The driveshaft shop recommended a loop on both ends. I have the front one installed.

Wow, did you have the front loop in there at the time? It appears to be bent.

If you plan on racing it, it is a good idea to have. I had the ladder bar crossmember set up to hold the driveshaft if needed. As bad as having the front joint break and dig into the ground, worse is like was showed when it breaks mid shaft and the piece is whipping around with the rear spinning.

good point, a mid break is probably the worst. After seeing that, I'm definitely putting one in.

Yep, and it bent. Took out the trans, flex plate, x pipe system, headers, and the convertor was sent in to go through. When changing the rear end a month later found 2 teeth broke and the small pinion bearing support cracked on the nine inch. Cann't believe it finished the season

I also have an adjustable rear driveshaft loop, I welded 2" square 1/4" thick plates to rear factory brace to have stronger mounting points and make it easier to remove if I have to.
