Rear floor pans

Is there any difference between the rear half floor pans on a Malibu versus those on a Chevelle (68-72)?

Tons of differences. With alot of work reshaping things one could make them work but it'll be cheaper to get ones for our generation.

Not the same year, 1980 Malibu to 68-72 Chevelle.
