what gear is a 16-41? that's what i pulled out of my cutlass

damn.... i put in 308 in there thinking i had 2.14's so i guess the 308 was a waste $

No its still a good improvment. If you had track times with the 2.56s and then get some new ones with the 3.08s and no other changes you would be able to quantify it. Probably a little easier accelerating with traffic from the stop lights ie less gas pedal which should translate into a little better mileage in town. On the other side probably a little less on the interestate overall often depending on how you use your car about the same overall mileage.

You know, when went from 2.41 to 3.42, I was thinking my in town gas mileage would improve becasue of that theory, but it has gotten significantly worse. Unless you have stop lights every 30 feet, its going to get worse in town.

well what i should of got was 3.42 that's what i wanted really but got confused on which gears to put in a i didnt know what i had till i bought the 308's an took the one wheel peel off. now going from 308 to 342 that something i would really notice i think but with the 308 hard to tell cause my 307 that had wasnt very good, it would burn out with the 308 finally but maybe once i put in the 350 i might see better, sucks i got good deal on getting the gears put in, just sucks having to go through that again just to swap better set
