Rear speakers 4x10

Has anyone had any luck with getting a better sound out of 4x10s or is their another size you can fit in the back factory spot? olds buick

The 6x9 adapters don't require modification of the car. The only issue you can run into is 6x9's with large magnets may rub the trunk lid torsion bars. I have a new pair of 6x9 adapters I'm not going to use. PM me your name and address and I'll send them to you if you decide to go that way. If you search on here, there are pictures of the speakers installed with the adapters, looking into the trunk, from behind the car.

I have 4 x 10's in back of my wagon....and I agree, they suck. I was thinking of going with 6 x 9's but will have to check for magnet clearance over the wheelwells.

I have a 355 sbc with the same transmission I want to find 200-4R for mine as well. How is your top end with that 3 speed I haven't driven mine yet. Do you have a blower as well?
