I hope this illustration helps, came out of 1980 NPN book. # 12 bottom left hand corner, in the 1979 book there are couple of pages of clips and one does look like # 12 but wasn't sure plus it had a different part number. I will post it

Here is a picture from a GM parts book. It looks like it comes with some sort of rubber around it, maybe to prevent rattling??

It's a piece of foam. Some of the clips came with it to do exactly what you describe. Prevent rattling.

Wow, yeah, hold onto it. A 3D printer might work. I'm sure many people would buy them. I'd buy 5. :)

Don’t know how these will fare in the elements, but they work on the test mule in my garage. We took a couple shots at the license plate pull too, but I think that geometry exceeds the capability of the cheap printer.

Are you producing these?

I have a plan B I'm going to try, but would rather use something more "original" if possible

I’ve got a set in my desk at work. The unknown at this time is how well the printed parts will take to extremes - hot, cold, sun, etc. We will be installing in the test mule in a couple weeks.

Been thinking on this for a while, and tried it out today. Since the clips were intact (less the tab), I checked to see if a "Christmas tree" would bite in the slot. It would, so bonded them to the rest of the remaining clip. I plan to use some headliner fabric to put a little cushion between the clip and the garnish molding, since the "wings" pretty much all broke off of the originals.

Might be a little more thrifty than the $12-25 each clips that turn up on ebay and the GBP site
