the hood has arrived and I'm wondering
Is there a air cleaner assembly that is made or reproduced that will seal to this hood

Kinda like the older 70 chevelle assembly did?

Yes there is and here is a picture of mine.
I got the air box and top cover from this place;
http://www.ramairbox.com/models.html
I bought part # 14HS and cover # 14AL and used my old Mr Gasket drop base bottom.
This seals to the bottom of the hood and draws in fresh air from the cowl.

Nice! Now that's $200.00 more I have to save. LOL That will work nice with the Stinger hood I made and cut the triangle inside the hood bracing right above the carb.

Fresh air is always a good thing,it's just a matter of how you acheive it.
I'm sure that either one of those units would work fine.
In my case I picked the one that I have because I liked how it looked.
I wouldnt want that snorkel...

So has anyone run this air cleaner
And if so does it work well enough

Or should I spend the money on the other system
I don't know anyone who has used one. I wouldn't mind finding a large, old 4-bbl air cleaner from a '60's-'70's land yacht and modify it to work with the cowl hood. Even those are like looking for hen's teeth.
