Getting a huge favor and done for me in the form of a fresh 4l60 for my swap. So I'm gonna be rocking a ly6 6.0 mostly stock with a gmpp hotcam. 218/228 525/525. It will be mostly family street driven but will get its fair share of abuse from time to time.
Armed with that info I'm thinking 2200stall? What do you guys think. They'll be doing the trans for me this week.
Thanks

I would go higher. A good billet torque converter even at 2800 stall is not noticeable and drives normally. That’s a nice cam but in a 6.0 it will still lack low-end torque. If you had VVT It would be a different story. If you are spending money on a good torque converter I would do 26-2800 with your combo.

Thanks you said the key word not noticeable on normal driving. That's kind of why I was afraid of going higher than the 22-2300. There is a good converter guy here that builds them to your specs. Lots of the race car guys around here use him. I'm pretty sure he is the one that there going to use for the converter.

With the OD id say you would even go to 3000, but 26-2800 is a good happy medium.

3600-3800 in a 9.5" diameter.

I have a 10.5 Coan 3200 in the wagon and it is really tight as it was meant for the TBSS - It is coming out (to go in the TBSS that had a Yank 2600) and I am going to go with either a 3800 or 4000 9.5" with the 4L80E. Most likely going with FTI billet single or triple disk unit because I plan on spraying through the converter.

Hope this helps.

Wow! Thats more than Ill need for now atleast. My biggest question is how would something like that be under normal driving? Highway? Most of the time Ill just be cruisin with atleast one kid if not the family.

Before I get into that...

Question: Who is tuning this thing for you?
