As things in our world keep getting erased or ignored for the wrong reasons, lets remember those who were the first to give all to forge the Greatest Generation to be the heros regardless of their backgrounds. Those who statred their day with no idea of the hell that was to hit & lead to almost four years war on two fronts. As their numbers are diminishing lets not forget them or what they fought for. Shame not much out there remembers them.

Look for the PBS special about Elvis and the Arizona. When he visited the site he was so moved he wanted to do something to help memorialize the loss of life. Most people don't know that Elvis was instrumental in getting the Arizona memorial finished. He did a benefit concert to raise money and it boosted the project to fruition. A local woman was seated in the front row that had witnessed the attack as a child. The daughter of the project's organizer could not afford a ticket and Elvis bought her one.

After the attack a Japanese admiral knew that they had just f*cked up big time. He said "I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant. And filled him with a terrible resolve." Damn straight.
