Not something I would look forward to doing again....I removed the factory trim on my 442 and ended up repainting one of the rear quarters because the adhesive / foam backing held water and damaged the paint. You should be able to get most it off with a heat gun, then buff the adhesive off.

it will come off with a heat gun...or just park it in the hot *ss sun this summer, comes off like butter then.
You will be left with a bit of glue to rub off and also a dark strip of unfaded paint where the bump strip was....

X2

I've had good results with 3M adhesive remover (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BQYA7W/?tag=gbody-20) and a hot summer day, no heat gun needed and it came out great. This was on a car and a truck less then 2 years old, so I good wax job after it was removed and it looked like it had never been there. With our 20+ year old Gbodies you will see a "shadow" for sure and its likely going to need that heat gun as posted above.

I just removed the side trim on my Cutlass. I did it on a cold night, so I used my wife's hair dryer. Once the leftover tape was warmed up with the dryer, it just peeled off with my thumbnail. Took about an hour to do each side (just removing the tape). Then about another hour per side removing the leftover adhesive junk on the paint. I used WD40 and old socks (I save my old socks for rags, they're the best for cleaning jobs and polishing/waxing). I got a spray bottle of "Goo Gone", works pretty good too for the leftover adhesive on the paint.
Finished it with polishing compound, and finally waxing it several times.
Looks good now. 100x improvement over the horrible looking stock trim.
