Hi guys,

I am replacing the passenger side floor pan in my 1979 Malibu coupe. I got the floor pan welded in and now its time to tackle the braces.

I got this brace:

https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1979/chevrolet/malibu/body_mechanical_-ar-_trim/seat_riser.html

But despite the pictures, it didn't come with the 2 end pieces. I wasn't counting on them for the price versus other sources.

I need to figure out what to do for the end pieces. The car was originally a bench seat car, but I plan to run a single bucket seat (its basically a drag racing car now).

So, do I absolutely need these end pieces? It doesn't look like they do much for structural rigidity.

Or should I ditch them and get these instead?

(Sorry for the long link).

Or do I need something else?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Yep, I just youtubed it and now I see how it all works. Guess I should have just done that in the first place. :blam:
