Does anyone have any experience using these? It appears to be the only clean looking alternative to the factory stick-on body side moldings put on these cars from the factory.

Here's what I'm talking about:

The only thing is, I wouldn't want to rivet them on. For those of you that have used them, is there any chance that they could be put on with double-sided tape?

I Googled "colored body side molding" and there are still places that sell flexible colored body side molding with chrome accents or solid colors with 3M tape already installed plus I would not want to use molding with a rigid aluminum channel.
