So...Trolling eBay, and came across this:

https://www.ebay.com/p/1978-84-85-8...d=372194174253&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

The color looks close to a match for my interior. Of course, I'd have to change the wheel medallion to the tri-shield. Seems like the center hub for this one is slightly cracked. Also, wondering if the mounting holes would work with a G-Body. The other option is to get a T-Type/GN wheel, and just re-paint/wrap it to match my interior. Thoughts?

78/79 blue is a few shades lighter than the 83/84 blue

Seems high for the defects listed...re-wrapping a leather wheel to OEM spec/quality runs about $190 last time I looked into it

Aside from telescopic columns, all GM steering wheels from 69 till about 95 have the same splines...excluding overseas-built, GM badged stuff (Toyota Novas, GEOs, etc)

Rare excellent cond medium blue center hub with tri-shield medallion---113.00 shipped.all five of my gn/ttype/regal wheels have the notorious "9-3 o'clock" breakage! This I was saving for my 78 gran sport, but being this would be a focal point for the Buick wagon ill part with it;)lmk

That wheel looks great - fits right into the regal. Love the tri-shield horn button too! I’m actually liking that wheel as much as the t-type wheel in my reagal (shhhh - maybe even a bit more than).

I actually have a bid on a three-spoke on eBay that has a little bit of rust on the spokes, but nothing I don't think I can remove. Will need to get it re-wrapped, but along with the hub piece from L.A.X-RATED, and getting it re-wrapped, should come out pretty good. Any tips on removing surface rust? Anyone tried molasses or white vinegar?

Typically about $200. I had it done on my Avalanche. Is what it is. If I was a little handier with needle & thread, might be able to DIY it, but I'd rather leave it to the pros.

So are you figuring about $450-500 total cost for a like new steering wheel?
