Knotted wire wheel cup on an angle grinder.
Multiple styles including straight are available depending on what you are doing.

This was by far my preferred method when I did the exterior of my 1500 frame. Sanding flapwheel works well for finishing.

depending on the size of the piece I prefer electrolosis if you can. It really gets everything off and leaves bare metal with minimal work. I did the air cleaner, and all the brackets from my car along with countless tools from Yard Sales

I'm assuming that most of us have an air compressor of some sort: HF bench top sand blast cabinet I've had over 20 years,, used for all the small parts on my off-frame restoration. The gray wood 2x4 with holes is for doing bolts/screws. It's so much fun to see the rust disappear and leave a pretty gray finish! A arms fit as well as engine brackets etc. I use sand box sand from HD. I do have some HF media for delicate parts. But... if the parts are still attached or really big get the HF sand blasting bucket and gun and use the driveway! I know that not everyone has space and equipment

, but if you do, make life easier by not using the muscle building steel cup wire and chemical stripping.
