Found this 84 monte SC in a salvage yard yesterday, it's in nw iowa. Lots of good parts for somebody. I'm not able to pull parts for people here but for somebody in the area it would be a goldmine. I was told that the yard bought the car for dirt track use but it was to nice for that so they are parting it out.

It is, bad part is you can't tell if it originally had a landau top or not.

those style of tops were usually added by the dealer. they would send the car out and have a upholstery shop put one on the car.

I dont remember seeing that type of a top back then. In 1986 buick had a limited run on a regal called presidential seires I think 600 or under were made,

my cousin had one. I do remember installing the numbered badge on the dash and came standard with a moon roof. The quarter windows had a gold tint to them. Some dealers including the one i worked for would put a top on that mimic a convertible top, it didn't look good but people bought them. I think i have pictures of that i just need look for them

Cool, might have to make a trip out there soon, just for giggles. Ain't too many yards with anything interesting in Iowa anymore. Shame.
