Stock A4 vs Edelbrock Performer?
Pros/cons of each; carb fitment - choices, hood clearance, etc.
Would be on a SBO 350 in a Cutlass, most likely EGR blockoff, electric choke mild build.

Both fit OK and save weight over the iron versions. The RPM is much better on nearly everything.

Also, Sometimes when assembling a new engine it’s nice to have a brand new clean intake to bolt in place…
Agree, I like a nice clean engine. The long sweeping runners of the RPM look better as well.

BOP intakes are heavy mfers. Toss the old one, get any other intake. RPM is the go-to.

Currently have no intake, sourcing parts for a build.
Found an A4 for short money, but if it limits what I can do I'd keep looking.
RPM fit underhood on stock Cutlass sheetmetal?

Yes, the RPM fits with a 14×3 drop base air cleaner but is close, 2" taller. The factory single snorkel is restrictive anyways.
