Has anyone removed one of these successfully? I don’t see a designed way to pop it off, trying not to damage it along the way. Swapping the cover for one that isn’t rusty.

Other option is I might be able to slide it off/on if I can get around or remove the lower seat belt floor plastic covering.

I have some beige colored belts i could practice with, oh wait, never mind.

Try prying up on the left side, the gentle rounded side. I have removed them before.

Getting it back on is another story.

If you go this route, there is stitching thru the plastic cover to hold the belt in place. Remove the stitch and the belt will pullout of the plastic. Assemble in reverse order. I used a coat hanger to pull the belt back into the plastic.

Well, got it tonight. Big screwdriver and a couple hard whacks and got one end to pop up, the other side is then easy. Repeated on the other cover. Install was easy, I put the round side on first then placed the belt on a soft surface and stepped on the other end, viola, snapped in one end at a time.
