Seat belt retractor broke, Replace, leave it or is there another option?

I agree with the pull and slack.The mechanism of the belts work great. I want to keep it factory.
If your mechanism is good, I think having your belt re-webbed and finding a good retractor lever for the passenger side is a good approach. The passenger lever is easier to find. The driver breaks more often.

Yeah, it's the driver's side lever that is broke. Working on getting a used one. It appears the A/M ones have been re designed and are supposed to be of better quality and function.
