seat belt wont retract

whats the best way to fix this , is there any way to trip the lock mechanism without pulling the rear seat and inside body panel ? The belt is fully extended and wont retract , its a 84 Hurst Olds

Did you try to see if the door jamb lever is still working? Might just need a new to you one.

I have moved the lever back and forth but don't know if it works or not , where do I get a replacement lever

how can I tell for sure its not working , I think the lock mechanism may just simply be jammed . Would a twisted seat belt cause it to jam this way

Pull the lever to look it over. Might be able to trip the lock mechanism with a screw driver. If it is twisted you may have to get into the side panel.
