i've cruised this site a few times in the past and decided to join up. i've always loved the g cars and its nice to see so many others out there. i recently got my ls1 84 cutlass up and running. i tell ya, technology is beautiful 23ish miles to the gallon and runs like hell. i've had the car forever and had a 406 sbc in it prior and primarily drag raced the car but decided to take a more streetable approach and go ls1 and 6 speed from an 02 ws6 trans-am. it was a fairly striaght forward switch and was well worth it.

i used the mounts offered by brp hotrods. they bolt in the framerails and locate the engine so you can run the hummer h3 oil pan ( the f-body pan sump is way too long). they are pretty but looking back could've been made for far cheaper.

thanks everyone for the compliments. the upper radiator hose is a stock 02 f-body hose with a little mod to make it go around the air inlet tube. i slid a piece of pipe in the end near the radiator and found a 90 degree bend, clamped it together and it gives me my little step out i needed. the lower hose is a flex hose.

i'll have to find more pics, i'll post the few i know i can find. if anyone wants a pic of a certain thing then i'll gladly take them.

as for overall details, i'm running a stock monte carlo ss radiator, the radiator hold down is a early g-body metal one and not the plastic later model shrouds. it still has the stock 7.5 rear but with an eaton posi and 3:42 gears. the drive shaft had to be shortened but since i used a larger 72 monte shaft and not the skinny g-body one, i have no idea how much shorter the shaft is from stock but i does have to be cut down for the t56. the hydraulic clutch stuff i all from the donor 02 f-body and surprisingly bolts in with little fuss. the pedal is a reproduction malibu/el camino clutch pedal.
