Semi-Annual Site Suggestions, Complaints, etc. Thread

Its that time again. Tell me what the site needs! What's wrong, what you like/don't like, what we need more of or less of or whatever. Anything goes.

Some things I can think of off the top of my head:
- E-mail newsletter... probably a monthly thing, been needing to do this for some time now.
- Get rid of the chat room. I never see anyone in there anymore.
- Bring back the "Store" ...
- Common design across sections (forum/photos/store/chat)

Lets hear it.

I think I know what you're talking about, and its a little known thing in phpBB. If you're in the "View Your Posts" page (http://www.gbodyforum.com/search.php?se ... =egosearch) ... look out to the right of each line, under "Last Post" it will say when the last post in the thread was and who made it, and there's a little icon out there that will link right to exactly what you're after.... click that.

Yeah its dumb, and it works that way on any other phpBB-driven site out there. I know, I know.

I've seen what you're talking about. An example of what I mean is, if there are 10 pages and I made a post in one of the earlier pages I would like to get taken to my last post on that thread. I could then continue reading from the last post I made in that thread.

Ah, I get it. That might take a bit of programming but I'll look into it. The 'related posts' has something pretty similar built into it ("first unread post") which might be more-or-less what you're talking about....

One thing I would love to have are POST NUMBERS!

Most other forums have this, and it can be a handy tool in discussions for referencing. Better then saying "about half way up the page".



For example;
1) Well Billy had that problem last year too, and he fixed it by doing this procedure (page 20 post#1183).

10 posts isn't a lot to ask for, a minimal contribution to sell your stuff without sellers fees and to know its going to someone that really appreciates it. Oh, and more smilies :wink:
