Great info on this site, but sometimes the thread titles aren't the most informative (posters' oversight). Is there any way to make it so that when you hover over a title in the "new post" search that it provides the first few sentences of the thread? I've seen it on other forums and it lets me know if there's thread content I'm interested in before clicking the link. Thanks for taking our suggestions-keep up the great work!

Hm. It'd take a bit of programming and a little more lookup on the database side every page... but could probably be done. Will look into this one.

For me, It would be convenient if the Email notification of a post on a subscribed thread included some or all of the newly posted comments. This is the way I see it on many other forums I visit, and it makes it a lot easier to know if I need to log in immediately to post an answer, or if it is something that I can postpone.

I'm fairly new to this forum but I do agree with the above post about some kind of requirement to list the persons place in a for sale ad, I only use my phone and clicking on the persons name and trying to see their location is a pain. This site is very mobile friendly tho, so good job on that most sites suck to navigate with a phone

How about a map showing the locations of members, I think it should be voluntary, let members opt in if they wish. No doubt some have perfectly valid reasons for not advertising their whereabouts.
It might be interesting to find out how many G body fans there are worldwide.

Roger.

my pet peeve for this forum is when clicking outside links, it opens the new link up in the same tab
i hate having to hit the back button several times to get back to the forum, when i could just close the tab

I'd kind of like a state section. A couple of other forums that I use or used to use had one and it was pretty neat. Easy to see what other local members had to post about local sales or events.

X2. I thought it was a setting that I can't find.

I think in the top right corner of a post there ought to be a positive/negative feedback rating. This is a much better idea than discouraging new members from posting parts we desperately need as they continue to grow only more rare each day. If we discourage a new guy from posting parts/ a parts car he will not come back and end up on some other forum trying to flip parts instead. Having a feedback rating would quickly determine who is here to extort people for $ and not here for the right reasons very fast. I'd say if a person gets below 85% after 10 transactions they ought to be banned but that's just an opinion. I can't imagine how many people would like to take an 85% chance or less on buying an expensive part

still monitoring! keep em coming.
