Hi guys, looking for some information. I have a 87 442. All stock with 49,000 miles. 200r4 trans and I am having an issue. It shifts up thru the gears very quickly into overdrive and then does not want to down shift unless you come to a complete stop. It doesn't do it all the time, I have serviced the trans, new fluid filter etc but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Check your TV cable setting. A TCC solenoid, when stuck on will cause stalling at stops.

The correct selector lever bushing GM part number is 10021797 for an 87 442.

But I don't think that's necessarily the problem. I think he means that when shifting itself, not manually doing it.
