Short or long water pump?

hey guys I am back from the dead ran into Pontiacgp last night and he sparked me to get working on my car again and I am starting with the alternator and need to know if I have a long or short water pump?

id think thats a short one just from guessing.i think you just have to measure the snout length?

It looks like a long water pump, the short ones are very close to the timing cover and unless you installed a pre 72' engine it would have came from the factory with a long water pump.
Long ones to the snout are around 7" and short ones around 5-3/4"

Unless it came out of a Corvette, which used short water pumps through the 1982 model year

I agree it's a long water pump...as said, big gap between timing cover and back of pump is long pump.

oh and that fan belt is loose
