Yes, I had Sanderson shorties on my 88 Cutlass. They fit without issues. The new Thornton stainless shorties look good but need early style down pipes. Both have 1 5/8" primary, Sanderson have a 3" collector, 2.25"? factory manifold style collector on the Thornton. I know one guy used the Hedman shorties on his 85, 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collector. They are tight but clear the steering shaft and 2.5" longer than the Sanderson headers, you need a good pipe bender.

Do you happen to have any part numbers?

Are they listed for the 81-88 Cutlass?

Thanks

So I guess they fit........

I would like to see the collectors location.

To me the pass side one looks like it would hit the firewall.

It is set up for the pre cat exhaust exit. I wish they would make one that copies the 75 and later exit point, they only need to modify the passenger side header. But I guess Olds never made anything but that useless crossover pipe for later cars, so why make something for a limited market that people throw out anyways.
