I was going to say 9X28. Go with the tallest tire you can fit. Tall gives a larger contact patch over a short wide tire. And for measuring, a 9X28 drag slick, is measured at the tread. A street tire is measured sidewall to sidewall.

You can snap the stock rear axle like a twig with ANY size drag radial. No "max size" slick required.

Understood. Auburn gears with HD axles. Street tires won't hook up anyway. If break it with slicks, I'll go bigger. My concern is back spacing & clearance.
