I'll be happy with half that.

I think the sloppy “don’t bs me” combo is pretty much proven. Have you seen the 6.0 S480 combo in the crown Vic that’s flirting with crossing into the high 8’s. Damn impressive.

I guess I'm the only one not impressed. Seems like 700-1000HP turbo LS combos are everywhere. Crack the 1500-2000 mark and it may get my attention. Then again, if everyone is doing it, it's still pretty boring.

I understand what you're saying, but how many have you seen in person or do you own? Mine only has 385hp.... I can't imagine 1000 rear wheel hp. That's about 1200hp at the crank. So roughly 4 times what I have. I think the goal lately has become to see how much hp you can make, how cheap you can do it, all while still being reliable.

The mark has always been per-vehicle with me.. I don't tend to park my cars. I bought them to drive, daily, so my goals tend to be lighter than others.. For a daily driver, 400hp is good, 500hp is great.

After that, its not very.... street savvy... anymore

My GP with a 6.0 and blower at 7psi which makes probably low 500's and a stick is worthless on street tires. 1st gear over 0 psi? Spins. 2nd gear over 3 psi? Spins. 3rd gear? Maybe if you are past a 40 roll it will hold WOT. I understand why hellcats crash so much haha. 200+ more hp and inexperienced drivers not a good combo.

That being said, the fact you can daily drive a 500+ hp car, get low 20 mpg and be quiet for being built at home is awesome. The fact that anyone can say 1000hp is boring shows how much time has changed.
