I'm looking at a Lincoln Mig Pack 140 - flux core and solid wire with gas...on sale.
To anyone with experience with this unit - I plan to use it for sheet metal, exhaust repairs and up to 3/16th steel for my trailer.

If it's the Home Depot version, it only has 4 heat ranges, and that gets to be a problem as you become more proficient. As a starter machine, it will do everything you need it to.

I bought a used mig pack 10 that was hardly used. There is always good used ones for sale cause people seem to have ideas but not enough ambition to get it done

I had a lincoln 140 from lowes? I like it better then my eastwood 135 with infinite voltage tbh. I liked my hobart140 even more. The arc seemed more stable on both name brand machines.

I have an older Lincoln MIG 135T. I am no welding pro but it is quite adequate for all my needs. I did all the rust spots on my Bonnewagon as well as replacing floor boards on other vehicles. boards on other vehicles. The range may be limited but it is EZPZ to use. I don't like flux core wire so the gas is the best way to go. The range may be limited but it is EZPZ to use. But for exhaust work I prefer ox-acetylene. More flexible with rusty pipes.

I think Lincoln has so many model numbers it's confusing, the weld pack 10 I have is similar to the 175 and 180 , is the 135 a 110 or 220?

It is both voltages. Also solid, flux, and aluminum wire. The hardest part was buying a big gas cylinder so I didn't have to run for a refill every time.

I have an 80 cf mix but i plan to get a small tank of 100% argon to try aluminum....

I also learned to turn the gas down to the minimum. You want to just "breath" on it- not blast it.
