So what happens is I leave this unpluged

The smog pump has been disconnected by the previous owner for years.

I want to get all theses air tube hoses out of the way

So what happens if I leave this with no hose on it and pull off the air pump completely.

I will be temporary until I pull the air tubes out of the head and plug them.

Nothing. That is a reed valve preventing exhaust from blowing backwards into the air pump

Move it downstream have it pull vacuum for your engine.

If it was still hooked up to the cat that would work

The cat will still work, just won't get the extra fresh air.
