A friend of mines has this crazy idea that he can buy a few old cars from the south and bring them to the north to sell for a quick profit. I know for a fact there are a LOT of rusted out G Body's in the Metro Detroit area. Does anyone on here know somebody that does this and how good of a plan do you actually think this is? It sounds great, I'm just not to sure if its worth the time and money.

Happens all the time, plenty of people with small car lots are doing this on a regular basis, problem is, its been going on for quite some years now and the quantity of cars to choose from isn't what it used to be, and with the Barrett Jackson auction phenomenon, too many people now-a-days see the show and automatically think their car is worth a bunch of money too. Theres money to be made, you just have to be wise about your choices when buying in order to turn a profit up north. Demand is there, but its also highly based on quality of cars and asking price.

I really wouldn't doing it. I'd be cool finding a good solid Body and hauling it back to part out. I really think I'll be able to do that and turn a bigger profit that way.
