I have always used Autolite spark plugs with excellent results.

But I was curious about the E3 plugs . I have heard some bad things about them in the past.

Like they have been dead right out of the box.

Anyone running the E3's?

And for those that have, Have you seen any improvement? Worth the money?

Or just a fad?

I think the only downside for E3s is that they aren't gapable, never used em myself. Always used AC Delco/Autolite.

We put a set of E3's in the 6.0 LSX in my brother's 78 Camaro. I had them for the 5.3 in my truck but donated them to his project. I don't have a good comparison as the first time we fired the motor it had the E3's in it. There is definitely no issue with them. I just can't say if they are actually worth the money and the hype. While I was recovering from surgery I had a little shop my work uses for our fleet of trucks put a set of plugs in my truck (08 Sierra). I mentioned the E3's and he had an unfavorable reaction and said he would prefer to put the stock Delco's in it. I let him do that. That's what I had in there already so I was fine with it.

I have a set of Autolite Double Platinum plugs for my SBC for my Grand Prix. They were what Davis Unified Ignition recommended to with the distributor I got from them. It hasn't run yet though. Here's a picture of the 6.0 in my brother's 78 Z28...

That 6.0 LSX install is just AWESOME! Every time that I see that picture in one of your posts, I'm in awe. Such a 'clean' install!!!

Thanks. I really appreciate the compliment. We worked hard at it being neat, clean and well engineered.

I have also always used NGK's, they are affordable and offer a wide variety of heat ranges per plug style.
