I have a 1979 cutlass salon 442 that i will be putting 3.73 gears in it. I took out the metric trans and put a th350 in it. Does anybody have an idea of what color speedometer gear i need? all the calculators online ask for a drive/driven gear and i have no idea what it means. Thanks. i will be running a 235/50/14 tire if that helps

Some magazines will tell you what gears go with what colors. Also try calling a jegs or summit. They might be able to tell you.

Check that site out. I have an olds 350, universal bell th350, and 3.73's in my car with 225/70/14s. My trans has a pink (7 tooth drive gear) and a 22 tooth driven gear (I think its grey). I also ended up running a ratio adapter because I couldn't get my speedometer correct with just the gears. I was still almost 27% off so I went to the dealer and got the part.

X2 I used them when I did my 700 swap.
