In this case, Grand National does not refer to the Buick, but rather the grand national stock cars

So I was looking at upgrading the 7.5 rear with 2.73 in my wagon. Has anyone used the grand national full floater sold by speedway motors? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/-Grand-National-Rear-End-w-GM-Metric-Brackets,295051.html

Looks too good to be true and takes the stock front calipers.

Maybe you should buy one and let us know how it works out.
A new center section is app $ 870.00;

If you can find a used one it would be quite a bit cheaper I'm sure.
The reviews are good,5 stars from 2 customers.
This might be the deal of the year for all we know...

I agree; it's just a housing- how bad could it be? I like the idea of using front calipers and having the full floater hubs, but they probably leak like sieves.

on our sportsman circle track car we used silicone to stop the leaks on the 9" full floaters, more on the right side than the left for obvious reasons

... they make snout seals

.... they also make inner tube seals

I would stay away from a full floater on the street though they need maintenance that most arent willing to do.

And yes grand national refers to the 2-1/2 floater snouts on the end, nothing to do with car fitment.

Add about 80 for brakes and around 800 for a center section, which can be had used as well

The reason I’m asking is I have the blazer spindles for the front and I also have a complete center section for the 9” ready to go already.
