So I bought these stainless Ebay headers a couple years ago and I was hesitant about how fitment would be but I did mock ups on the stand and a had good clearance so I figured I would give them a try, I bought these because the primary tube routing looked identical to Hooker's headers for my car.
I am happy to say these fit very well with only two clearance issues, first the driver's side factory clamshell needs to be notched and they don't clear the steering column shift linkage.
These have great ground clearance along with starter and oil filter clearance, I notched the mount and will modify my linkage until I put my floor shifter in.
This is the style that I bought. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=401571672745

off topic..... what brand is that spacer you have for the thermosat housing and does the themostat install on the top or bottom of the spacer. ..thanks

that is a nice set of headers, the flange is nice and thick and that will never warp

That was the first one I bought years ago for one of my BBC's and I don't remember the brand but it does have a recess for the thermostat but no o-rings and I have Meziere on my BBC now it has an o-ring on one side but no recess but to run a thermostat I use a Fel Pro blue plastic thermostat gasket that provides the extra clearance needed to run it.

The one thing I will say towards ANY average decent Chinese made products is check them out thoroughly before use. Many can be great till you get to that one in so many defective ones. With headers ,it could be a missing weld. With products with bearings, every one out of a bunch will not turn smoothly. With screw or bolt threads some products consistently have a defect you see every so often when you handle enough volume of them.
Not that American products don't have defects, but this is what I see with many Chinese or other Asian made products. If you catch a defect before use you have a far better chance of getting it replaced than if it fails a year or so later than purchase date.
On the upside, we can afford cool stuff we couldn't before. Just use a higher level of caution, whatever the product may be.
This post isn't directly related at above posted product, but a post of a blown out from the flange header tube on LS1 tech made me think to post this. Look like it missed getting a proper weld.

I agree and when I bought these I went into it thinking if the quality is there I will give them a try if not I will just sell them and buy a familiar brand but IMO they have some nice welds and some very think flanges and I went with 1/4" longer header bolts for a better grip because of this and as a bonus they actually look nice.
Even after doing mock ups on the stand and having good clearance for the starter, oil filter adapter, spark plugs and plug wires I still questioned if they would fit the car.
Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.
