Starter and alternator wiring

hey guys I need some help with my wiring I got a new harness it's from a ccc carb Monte Carlo ss and I am trying to hook it up to my older small block i think I have everything figured out just seems like I am missing the one wire for the alternator. Can I run a wire from the back post on the alternator to the positive side of the battery? Also what wires goes on to the starter?

I think they go to the starter battery post.

I run a 10 gauge wire from the alternator to the battery. The two red wires go to the battery cable terminal and the other wire goes to the S terminal on the solenoid.
