Hey, my old starter died. I took it out and it had a jumper from the battery terminal to the switch terminal. No switch wire present. Should I add the jumper to the new starter?
Thanks

If you have a remote solenoid you will need a jumper on the starter solenoid.

Hmmm, it’s my friends car, not sure if it has a remote solenoid. Would it just be inline with the battery cable?

The battery cable from the starter would go to one side of the remote solenoid typically mounted on the inner fender.
They look something like this with different variations.

Great thanks! I’ll check it out tomorrow, and hopefully just have to add the jumper back.
