My 5.3 LM7 truck engine came with just the front 2 plumbed. The rears were capped/plugged from the factory. Only seems doing something like this and plumbing all four would be a good idea.

Thoughts?

Guys, all that work and hardware isn't necessary. Keep it simple and leave the back ports tied together with factory plumbing. Connect the front to your radiator if it has the port otherwise you can drill and tap a hole in your water pump housing for a short rubber hose connection.
