Debating about replacing a perfectly fine flat stock hood with a steel 2" cowl hood. Reason is to clear an aftermarket TPI system. Oh, and to skip sanding off 25 square feet of alligatored lacquer.

Only Auto Metal Direct shows the underside of theirs. The brace still goes across in front of the cutout for the air cleaner. No equivalent photo for the Goodmark hood. Not sure if that brace 'unsolves' my problem or not.

I can't answer your question but I added a 2" bolt on fiberglass scoop to my steel 86' Regal hood and then modified it to make it functional.
I then sprayed the underside of the hood with bed liner.
