I don't know what the proper, or specific paint code would be, but good ole' SEM interior paint is the way to go.
A good body shop supply should be able to duplicate the color.

Take your interior color code to a paint store. They can mix it and put it in a can for you as well

Ummmmmm….that's Claret, or burgundy. The 84 has dark maple. It's a little lighter than the 85-88. I'm sure it's nice, it's just a darker shade than what I think he's looking for.

1983 -1984:
Dark Maple 77 (81-84)

Ditzler #: Semi-Gloss.: 72415 Low-Gloss.: 72435
Dupont #: S.G.: D8391 or Dupont #: S.G.: C8115 L.G.: C8129

Medium Maple
Ditzler #: S.G.: 72568

Very Dark Maple

It's burgandy...my 84' Hursts are claret or dark maple...this interior is darker then a Hurst
Did you change it up? I just saw the 84 steering wheel and figured the rest of it was factory. Which would then be the maple. My apologies.

If that is the case and you have 85-88 Claret interior pieces, then TURNA has the goods.

Let's dive into my PPG books for this one. If it is the original color interior for '84 (also the same codes for '81 & '83) it'll be 77 Dark Maple, PPG semi-gloss 72415. If it'll be from a later model, 79 Dark Claret ('85)/Claret ('86-'88), PPG semi-gloss 51170. Columns used semi-gloss since it was not in direct sun light/bright lights like the dash pads that would use low gloss. If going with PPG it would be mixed in the One Choice line. If you can get lucky if the shop would be able to mix it in lacquer (DDL) if you would chose it. When painting it just clean it up real good, sand, prime, paint just like body panels.
