What is this part on a steering column and what does it do? It has a round rod that runs to it. The rod does not move when the key is turned. The column I'm removing has wires connected to it and the column I'm installing has a similar one but with no wire connections.
I also noticed this light blue wire that looks like it was cut. Anyone know what this wire does/goes to? During the column install, I did not see another light blue wire to reattach.
