Bracket on the intake to the right of the carb. Needed.
Picture from JoesRegalProject
Wish I could help but I'm using a Holley with a cheap universal bracket. Could you use a stock G-body 4-barrel bracket?
Also, if the engine isn't in yet, I really recommend you check out the status of the oiling passages. Especially the one that's (I believe) a valley in the front (or so) cam journal. If that's clogged, you'll have noisy driver's-side front rockers. I have this issue.
Lastly, might I ask what car that engine was pulled from? That power steering pump mount angle looks way better for cornering than the 3.8 V6 mount.
Tried every bracket under the sun. has to be that exact bracket. The brackets that hang off the back of the carb hit the intake. I don't really know what the engine was pulled from, as it's not mine, probably a 76 century or something. Pic is of JoesRegalProject's engine in his build thread. I used my V6 PS bracket, so it's offset to the drivers side a bit more, but there is a PS bracket on ebay IIRC. non smog pump mount so it looks really clean. Here it is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Buick-...ash=item1ec5429234:g:UvwAAOSw2gxYvtDL&vxp=mtr
Have you looked at the bracket for the square body trucks?
I don't believe they would work. On Buick qjets, the throttle arm is different than a Chevy, and the top nub is about an inch higher and the bottom about a half inch lower. Cable alignment would then be an issue. And the bracket's gotta have the two holes for the kickdown and throttle.
whatever happened with the bracket LAX offered you in the first thread you started about the throttle bracket?
He never responded. I've messaged him multiple times.
that is strange cause I have had no problem with him getting back to me and he responds quickly
Got two convos, on in Feb one in April, no replies on either. I do hope the one he has is the correct one.
report him to the BBB.....
