To help against splacking, you can install a single throw double poll switch to the tach wire on the HEI. One way it allows the tach to work and the car to run. The other way when you wire it properly, grounds the terminal. I am thinking that maybe run the ground side through an unused idiot light on the dash to light up when you have the switch in the ignition kill position.

Thoughts?
I wouldn't ground it; just opening the circuit is enough. A starter kill can be done with a standard 5 pin relay fairly easily- the trick is hiding it and the trigger.

I have one of those for my car.
I do, too. It came with my car when I got it. Turbo Buicks have a "special" feature that most don't know about. I used that "feature" while on Power Tour in 2016, along with a bicycle lock wrapped around the brake pedal and through the steering wheel, along with parking my car right in front of the Hotel door with my wheel turned all the way. Them Louisiana boys like GBodys, but mine was there the next morning. In the past I have tied fishing line to tone of my trucks, and ran it under the Hotel room door, and then tied it to the lamp next to the bed... Now I won't advertise carrying weapons across state lines, but a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do...
As stated above, have your car insured for an agreed value, use all the little tricks ( they add up to most thieves moving on to another car who's owner was not as smart ), and unfortunately you gotta think like they do if you want your car there in the morning.

I had a pretty nice truck back in the 90's. People always wanted to look, take a ride, or drive it. I used to tell them if you can figure out how to start it, you can drive it. Never happened...

Back in the 80's I wanted to park a bunch of cars in downtown Phoenix, Rigged to explode when tampered with. I even wanted to start hanging car thieves , But Sara wouldn't let me.....
